Emma Rose is a multimedia artist currently living in Chicago Illinois.

Emma Rose has her BFA in Fiber Material Studies from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MA in Art Leadership and Cultural Management from Colorado State University. Her work takes stories and objects from her childhood as well as folk tales and lore to create new stories and spaces out of them. For Emma objects and spaces hold the memories that people have made, allowing for these memories to be relived over and over again without those who were present in the memory being there physically. Through this work, she investigates what makes each place so special and how can she feel the same way in one space as she does in another. Emma creates work that focuses visually on objects, and spaces, taking the traditional still life and giving it new meaning. She is working towards creating an imaginary space I feel children often find themselves in and adults wish they could return to.
